Tainted products not fit for human or pet consumption

Medicinal products are supposed to make people everywhere, including here in Ohio, feel better. However, when manufacturing processes turn them into tainted products, people could suffer serious harm. The companies who manufacture these medications have a responsibility to warn potential victims and get them off the shelves by recalling them and announcing it to the public.

For example, Silver Star Brands, Inc. became one of the latest companies to recall several of its products because they pose a danger to the health and well-being of those who consume them. In this case, however, it is not just humans who may suffer, but the family pet as well. The company manufactures several products designed to help with ailments ranging from nausea to cramps and spasms to the pain caused by varicose veins. It also manufactures products for animals aimed at helping increase appetite and relieving itching skin in animals.

Certain of these products may be contaminated. The results could include infections that may reach life-threatening levels. So far, no reports of adverse health consequences have reached the company, but that does not mean they have not or will not occur. The unfortunate truth is that reports of a particular recall may not reach consumers in time to prevent them from suffering harm as a result of a defective or dangerous product.

When that happens, people could end up hospitalized and/or facing lifelong issues resulting from tainted products that managed to reach the marketplace. Ohio residents who experience this firsthand may need to consider the possibility of pursuing restitution from the party or parties bearing legal liability for the injuries suffered. Identifying the responsible parties often presents a challenge, and injured parties could benefit from some assistance and guidance.
